Hobo Jim also well remembered with the name Jim Varsos was an American folk singer-songwriter. With his amazing guitar skills, he becomes one of the most famous guitar players in Alaska. Not only this in 1994 he was officially declared as a balladeer of Alaska. Hobo was born in 1952 in Madison, Wisconsin. From a very small age, he started playing guitar. Some sources claim it was just 12 years. His name is well associated with “Iditarod Trail Song”. He has also co-written notable songs like “The Rock” and “Empty”.
Hobo Jim received Honorary Doctorate from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in fine arts. But sadly he became the victim of terminal cancer the information of which he unveiled on 18 September.

Diagnosed With Cancer
On September 18, 2021, Jim Varsos confirmed that he was suffering from terminal cancer. People on the social media spaces pray and wish for the fast recovery of the legend. But later on 4 October, he succumb to the battle with cancer. This is really heartbroken for his fan-following in the world. The family member did not reveal anything about his obituary yet.
