Not that he really needed to take any class, he could already sing so beautifully and play really well too (that just got better and better), He would call me Miss Suzy, it made me feel like an old lady but in a really good way. Our whole family loved him so much. I know he suffered with his health problems but I had hoped that somehow he would get through them. I can’t stand that I won’t see him again. A transcendent musician. Condolences to his family and his many, many friends all over the world. Thanks to Wilson for helping him so much.

“Our dear, wonderful friend of nearly my entire life, COURTNEY GRANGER, passed away this morning at age 39. There is so much to say, but I’m processing this news slowly.. He played with Pine Leaf Boys until about a year ago when his health deteriorated to the point where he had to go on dialysis 3 times per week. They think the cause of death was some kind of blood clot, but more info will be revealed. The funeral details will be posted shortly, but I hear it will be at Quirk’s in Eunice on Monday. His father, Ken, called to tell me and asked for help with funeral costs from the community. I set it up under my name; anything donated will be forwarded to Ken.”
On GoFundMe Page, He Wrote: “Our wonderful friend and musician, beloved in the community and around the world, soulful singer and fiddler, lover of Cajun and Country music, has passed away too young, at age 39. His father, Ken Granger, has asked me to organize a fundraiser to help the funeral costs.”
