Who is Tim Donnelly Aka Chet Kelly?

Tim donnelly was born on September 3, 1944 in Los Angeles County, California, USA. His full name is Timothy David Donnelly. Some of his best projects are Emergency! (1972), The Clonus Horror (1979) and The Toolbox Murders (1978).

He had several different supporting roles in episodes of the late 1960s and early 1970s Webb-produced shows, such as Dragnet 1967-1970 and various roles in Adam-12. In late 1971, Webb personally selected Donnelly for the role that made him famous, that of the wisecracking Firefighter Chester B. “Chet” Kelly, in the Mark VII television series Emergency! 

Following the 1978 cancellation of Emergency!, he appeared in several other series outside of those by Mark VII. He starred in episodes of television series such as Vega$Hawaii Five-OThe VirginianB. J. and the BearEnos and The A-Team, and even had starring roles in films such as The Toolbox Murders (1978) and The Clonus Horror (1979).

Tim retired from acting in 1984, but has appeared at various Emergency! conventions.

77 years old Tim Donnelly takes his last breath on 20 September 2021. On the official Facebook page of Los Angeles County Fire Museum, the wrote: 

“We at the Fire Museum are heartbroken as we sure all of you will be as well regarding the following news.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our friend, Tim Donnelly, this weekend. Tim, as you know, played Chet Kelly on the show Emergency! among many other roles during his acting career. Tim is survived by his daughter, Ashley, two grandsons, his sister Kathleen and his brother Dennis. To all the Emergency! fans, we want you to know that he was very excited about coming to the Museum in January for the 50th Anniversary. Many of the Museum Board Members have great memories of Tim from our time on Project 51 and personal contact. To his daughter, grandchildren, and siblings, we offer our sincerest condolences. At this time, services have not been arranged. Cards may be directed to Dennis Donnelly, c/o Los Angeles County Fire Museum Association,
