We are saddened to share the passing news of Gail Skofronick Jackson, Program Manager at NASA Headquarters. The news was confirmed by NASA itself through sharing a press release. Not much information of circumstances around her death was released at this time. But some source claims that she died due to a terrible accident. She worked on so many NASA projects and contribute a lot to make them successful.  Her contribution to the organization is appreciated by so many colleagues who worked with her. Who was Gail Skofronick Jackson?

Gail Skofronick Jackson was Program Manager at NASA Headquarters, Science Mission Directorate. She completed her B.S degree from Florida State University. Further completes Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology. She had expertise in the Weather focus area. In past, She was also worked at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt. Gail Skifronick’s death was a big shock to the entire NASA team. She was very helpful and polite. On social media, her colleague shares so many beautiful memories which they have spent with Gail.  Her unexpected death has turned up many questions on the internet.  there are not many details available in the public that clarifies her cause of death.   “Mourning the loss of Gail Skofronick-Jackson who passed away unexpectedly. She was a dynamic leader of NASA’s Weather Program and Program Scientist for the GPM mission. She will be sorely missed.”

her family members or relatives have not disclosed the obituary details yet. They are deeply saddened by the death of their loving member. Our team shares sincere condolences with her family members.

Gail was widely appreciated for her polite behavior and usefulness. “I’m so sorry. I met her years ago at a couple of TRMM/GPM science meetings and she was so nice and welcoming and just really a good person. I’m sorry for your loss there at GPM. You are such a tight and close community Red heart it must be hard.” said one on Facebook.

“We’re shocked and saddened by this news. Gail Skofronick-Jackson was incredibly supportive of our radiosonde launches after CPEX-AW was delayed and moved to the Caribbean.”
