Who was Dodrupchen Rinpoche?
Now let’s talk about the background of great Dodrupchen Rinpoche, he was born in 1927 in the Golok province of Dokham, Tibet. Only at the age of four years, he was installed on the throne of Dodrupchen monastery. Later on, when he was eleven years old, he was given the empowerment of Nyingtik Yabshyi by a disciple of the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche.
He once said “Buddha Shakyamuni told many stories to illustrate why someone had become his disciple, or why someone had become his gifted disciples. In many instances, the main cause he gave was that these people had made virtuous aspirations while they were dying.”

In his life, he received teachings from many great teachers including Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö. Rinpoche wrote many books famous one is Longchenpa’s Seven Treasures and Trilogy of Finding Comfort and Ease. He explore and spread his teaching in many countries.
