Who was Robert Jervis?
Robert Jervis was born on April 30, 1940, in New York City. He was blessed to the family of a lawyer, Herman Jervis. Completed his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1968.
Talking about his profession, Robert was the political scientist and Adlai E. Stevenson Professor of International Politics at Columbia University. “He was a husband, father, and grandfather extraordinaire, a giant in his field of International Relations, a mentor to legions of younger scholars, an enthusiastic provider of feedback to university administrators, a museum-goer and opera lover, a skilled napper, and a pioneer of the capsule wardrobe. “
Jervis was working as a faculty in the university since 1980. Because of his long-time experience and knowledge, he was most popular and was named often in the college syllabi as the author. Robert was survived by his wife, Kathe, and daughters Alexa and Lisa.
