The shocking news was cleared by his son Lray Villafuerte Sr. His death took place at St. Luke’s Medical Center – BGC, Taguig. Several social media users expressed deep mourning at this. Who is Luis Villafuerte?
Luis Villafuerte was Former Filipino congressman. Also, He served as governor of Camarines Sur. He was 86 years old when he died. Due to his selfless services and spirit, he was often remembered as the Political Kingpin of the Bicol Region. He was blessed with a son named Lray Villafuerte. My condolences to the Villafuerte clan. He was my contemporary at UP Diliman in the mid 1950’s. We were residents of the UP Men’s South Dorm which was renamed later to Narra Hall. I have group pictures of the Residents ( 1954) including him in my collection. Reading Luis Obituary reminds me of my own mortality. Again my deepest sympathy and condolences.
