Who is Geir Johnson?
Geir Johnson was a composer, writer of culture projects. He was born on 13 June 1953 at Fredrikstad. He started his musical training with boys’ choirs in Oslo. During this period of time, he also trained himself for piano and singing. He studied at the University of Oslo and the University of Bergen.
In 1990 he co-founded the music theatre company Opera Vest in Bergen the name of which is now The Bergen National Opera. Later he was chosen as a board member of many Norwegian cultural institutions.
